Added by DorminKō Ōtani (大谷幸 Ōtani Kō, born May 1, 1957) composed the music for Shadow of the Colossus (2005). His only previous videogame scores were for a little-known PS1 shooter called Philosoma (1996) and early PS2 flight-sim Sky Odyssey (2000).
Otani composes primarily for TV shows and movies. In particular, he has scored many of the Gamera films, as well as Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz and the short anime series, Haibane Renmei.
His name has been spelled a variety of ways in the credits of the films, shows and games he has scored, including but not limited to Kô Ôtani, Kou Ohtani, Kow Ohtani, and Kow Otani (as he is credited in Shadow of the Colossus).
